My dogs have fleas and I am looking for the best treatment for right now and future. I plan on treating the dogs with either a top spot, drops behind the neck, or a dip. I was unsuccessful in getting rid of the fleas my cat and dog had on my own. I went to the vet and bought one of their treatments. They gave me advantage for both of them. It's the kind you squeeze on their skin right behind their heads. I did this at about 1pm today. I'm still noticing a little scratching from both of them. How long should this treatment take to kill the fleas? And if this doesn't work what should my next step be?
PS I did treat my house so they shouldn't be getting reinfected from the furniture or anything.
